Changing The World One Letter At A Time

Savannah's Soldiers

Savannah's Soldiers is a 501 (c) (3) non-profit organization.

Savannah's Soldiers engages kids through education, the arts, culture and service learning. We provide integrated curriculum based programs to motivate our youth to invoke change. We empower and influence our younger generations and their communities to support our military and veterans with pride. Our programs and performances raise awareness about the contributions of the military and their families and revitalizes the national conversation about service, sacrifice, and deployment.

It is with great pleasure that I write to you to praise the long-standing partnership between the Miami Marlins and Savannah's Soldiers. Since 2012 the Marlins have supported this organization and will continue to do so.

Savannah's soldiers has has a constant presence at Marlins Park throughout the entire three seasons the team has been in its new ballpark. Without fail, the organization commits to attending every Monday home game to support our Military Monday/South Florida Heroes nights. This is a large commitment that spans six months out of every year. The organization continues to find new and unique ways to engage our fans while spreading its mission. I'm proud to say that the Miami Marlins backed Savannah's Soldiers when it was celebrating its 50,000th letter, and now they are at almost 200,000 letters!

In addition to regular letter writing efforts, Savannah's Soldiers partners with the Miami Marlins to promote its supplemental educational initiatives. Marlins Park was proud to be the first display site for the winners of Savannah's Soldiers' inaugural art contest. Savannah's Soldiers also supports the Marlins at any military-related events. The organization has helped by facilitating military care package production or providing guest speakers.

The Marlins' partnership with Savannah's Soldiers is comprehensive and benefits both organizations' missions. The Miami Marlins are proud to back Savannah's Soldiers in all its endeavors.
